Hamada, which means arid land in Arabic, inspired Jean-Luc Le Mounier to create an entire collection based on the aesthetics of the rugged rocky plateaus of the Sahara. This delicate and precious decoration was applied to the furniture using the ancient technique of enamel on copper. Thin sheets of copper are covered with black crystal (enamel) through successive baking at very high temperatures. Then, like a jewel, they are plated with platinum. The furniture, whose interior is made of Ceylon lemon wood, consists of two doors that open on either side of the central section and contain three large drawers and a small precious box.
