A major piece of the white collection, the white sideboard is a very special piece in the creations of Jean-Luc Le Mounier. Imagined during the last lockdown in 2021, the artist, blocked for a year in his studio, was driven by a desire for travel, long beaches of white sand, sky and turquoise seas. The unique combination of white sand and scales in azure blue straw marquetry immediately evokes this need for freedom. The repetitive patterns on the top of the cabinet recall the drawings of a Japanese garden, a space conducive to reflection and meditation, a vital element to bring the artist to recharge his batteries.
