The Origin chest of drawers marks the creator’s encounter with the work of bronze. First work more sculptural than utilitarian, it marks a turning point in the artist’s creative approach, both in the form of the furniture and in its function. Taking the shape of a tree trunk lying on the ground on which one can sit, Origine can be imagined as much in the middle of a room as along a wall. In order to complete the concept, the artist recovered the bark of a dead tree in order to mold it to give it a second life. The double-sided dresser holds six drawers hidden by patinated bronze nets.
